A Boardgame about economic expansion and the effects on climate change.
The Game Jam "Auswärts Gespielt" was held to motivate Game Enthusiasts to produce Games that focus on a subject of foreign politics. The event had a duration of three days but overall the teams had a bit more than 24 hours to create their idea.
Mother Earth was one of 12 projects (only 2 of those were boardgames) and focused on the expansion of national Industies and the negative Effects this has on nature. To counteract those effects the players should work together on an "international" level to establish rules and punishments for players that harm nature more than others. Players are also encouraged to find a balance between economical growth and planting forests instead of new industry.
The Game was one of the three winners of the Jam and was awarded 5.000 Euros. The Game Jam was sponsored by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
